Emerging challenges in political campaigning and regulatory oversight 

Evan Ekin-Smith, from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) spoke to ABC news noting that political campaigning is entering a new phase, one that demands greater scrutiny and adaptation by regulatory bodies.  

The AEC is investigating whether podcaster Abbie Chatfield was endorsing Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in a recent interview, and whether payment for interviews require authorisation statements.
